Improvements We are Looking at

Improving the condition of the Maternity Wing
We are working to improve the maternity unit at the local dispensary in Sombo, which currently has only one bed. This limited setup poses challenges in handling multiple deliveries or emergencies, and affects the quality of care for expectant mothers. The planned improvements include adding more beds, upgrading the delivery area, and equipping the space with essential maternity care items. These changes aim to ensure that mothers receive safe, respectful, and reliable care during childbirth, contributing to better health outcomes for both mothers and newborns.

Doing Periodic Medical Supplies to the dispensary
To ensure consistent and reliable healthcare services, we are committed to providing periodic medical supplies to the local dispensary. Regular restocking of essential items such as medications, bandages, gloves, and basic equipment is vital for the day-to-day operation of the facility. This ongoing support helps maintain the quality of care, ensures prompt response to medical needs, and strengthens the dispensary’s ability to serve the community effectively over time.

Improving the quality of the local dispensary
We are focused on improving the overall quality of the local dispensary, with a long-term goal of upgrading it to a Level 4 hospital. Currently, the community lacks access to a fully equipped healthcare facility at that level, forcing many residents to travel long distances for specialized care. Our efforts involve strengthening infrastructure, expanding services, and enhancing the availability of medical equipment and trained personnel.
